SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEK

Today we are taking up a special collection to help those affected by the recent catastrophic floods in Texas. Many families have lost everything, and they need our support. After the damage caused by Tropical Storm Helene here in our Diocese, we know all too well how overwhelming it can be to face such loss. In moments like this, our faith calls us to act with compassion and solidarity. Please consider making a donation to help our brothers and sisters in need. All funds will be sent to the Archdiocese of San Antonio’s Catholic Charities agency to be used for short-term and long-term relief aid. Please place your contribution in today’s offertory collection, making checks payable to St. Andrew or Sacred Heart, and note “Texas Flooding” on the memo line. Thank you for your generosity.

SEGUNDA COLECCIÓN DE ESTA SEMANA

Hoy estamos haciendo una colecta especial para ayudar a los afectados por las recientes inundaciones catastróficas en Texas. Muchas familias lo han perdido todo y necesitan nuestro apoyo. Después de los daños causados por la tormenta tropical Helene aquí en nuestra Diócesis, sabemos muy bien lo abrumador que puede ser enfrentar tal pérdida. En momentos como este, nuestra fe nos llama a actuar con compasión y solidaridad. Por favor, considere hacer una donación para ayudar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas necesitados. Todos los fondos se enviarán a la agencia de Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de San Antonio para ser utilizados en ayuda de socorro a corto y largo plazo. DIOCESAN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

If you are celebrating your Silver or Golden Wedding Anniversary this year and wish to be included in the celebration, please register at https://charlottediocese.org/form-wedding-anniversary-mass/. The Mass will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mass begins at 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. Limit of 2 guests per couple.

CATHOLIC FAMILY DAY AT CAROWINDS

SUNDAY, JULY 27, 2025

Come out for a day of worship, fellowship and fun on Catholic Family Day at Carowinds. Start the day with Mass in the Carowinds Theater at 9 a.m. before the park opens to the public. Enjoy the rides and all that the park has to offer, and enjoy fellowship with other Catholic families from across the Diocese of Charlotte. Take a break and refuel at an all-you-can-eat picnic lunch in the Grove Picnic Pavilion from noon to 1 p.m. Cost: $69.50 (includes reduced-price park admission, lunch, and free parking). But don’t wait!

DÍA DE LA FAMILIA CATÓLICA EN CAROWINDS

DOMINGO, 27 DE JULIO DE 2025

Venga a pasar un día de adoración, compañerismo y diversión en el Día de la Familia Católica en Carowinds. Comience el día con una misa en el Teatro Carowinds a las 9 a.m. antes de que el parque abra al público. Disfrute de las atracciones y de todo lo que el parque tiene para ofrecer, y disfrute del compañerismo con otras familias católicas de toda la Diócesis de Charlotte. Tómese un descanso y recargue energías en un almuerzo de picnic de todo lo que pueda comer en el Grove Picnic Pavilion desde el mediodía hasta la 1 p.m. Costo: $ 69.50 (incluye entrada al parque a precio reducido, almuerzo y estacionamiento gratuito). ¡Pero no esperes!

DSA 2025

Please know that it takes a couple of weeks for your donation, even when made online, to get credited to our church. So, the information I share with you may not include your recent donation. If we exceed the DSA goal, we do get a refund from the Diocese. (Last year, they sent Sacred Heart a check for $2.00. 😊)

As of July 11^th, Sacred Heart has reached 73% of its goal, with a balance of $2,627. St. Andrew has met 100% of its goal.

(Remember, the money you donated last week probably hasn’t been credited to our church yet, especially if it was cash or a check made out to us.)
