Please be silent and reverent when entering the sanctuary. Use the time before Mass for prayer and reflection, preparing ourselves for the celebration. Psalm 37 says, “Be still before the LORD; wait for him.”

We are now 11 weeks into the Diocesan Support Appeal campaign, and as of last Monday, 21 of our parishioners at St. Andrew and 10 at Sacred Heart had contributed. We need each of you to help us reach our goals of $9784 and $9647.

NEED HELP?

Remember that large group of volunteers from Louisiana that came in December? They cooked food at Sacred Heart and helped with the Christmas Bazaar at St. Andrew. They also did a lot of home repairs and cleanup.

Well, this group wants to come back in June, with even more people. They want to cook—I told them we would eat—and they want to do whatever volunteer work we need, and they want to do some kind of event for the children of the parish.

So, what do you need? Do you need brush and debris cleared out of the yard? Or siding reattached to the house? House painted? You know your needs better than I do. Think, too, about your neighbors who might need help.

Please. Help me find work for this generous group of Catholics from Mandeville, Louisiana.

¿Recuerdas ese gran grupo de voluntarios de Louisiana que vino en diciembre? Cocinaron comida en el Sagrado Corazón y ayudaron con el Bazar de Navidad en San Andrés. También hicieron muchas reparaciones y limpieza de la casa.

Pues bien, este grupo quiere volver en junio, con aún más gente. Quieren cocinar, les dije que íbamos a comer, y quieren hacer cualquier trabajo voluntario que necesitemos, y quieren hacer algún tipo de evento para los niños de la parroquia.

The lawn maintenance equipment at Sacred Heart is missing. If you have any information about the location of the riding lawn mower, weed eater, or any other lawn equipment, please call Kelly or Lorraine.

JUBILEE 2025 

Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope

Let’s plan for our church members to make the pilgrimage to the Diocese of Charlotte Eucharistic Congress on September 5^th and 6^th. We can get a bus and ride together. If there’s enough interest, we can reserve a block of rooms to experience both Friday and Saturday’s events. Let’s start planning now. If you are interested in taking this pilgrimage, please let Kelly know.

Jubileo 2025: Peregrinos de esperanza

Planeemos que los miembros de nuestra iglesia hagan la peregrinación al Congreso Eucarístico de la Diócesis de Charlotte el 5 y 6 de septiembre. Podemos tomar un autobús y viajar juntos. Si hay suficiente interés, podemos reservar un bloque de habitaciones para experimentar los eventos del viernes y el sábado. Empecemos a planificar ahora. Si está interesado, hágaselo saber.

FAITH FORMATION FOR CHILDREN at St. Andrew. All children in the class are expected to attend Mass each week before the lesson. All children are expected to practice their prayers in English. All children are expected to complete any assignments sent home by the teachers. All parents are expected to encourage their children to complete all the work, learn the prayers, and –most importantly—attend Mass with their children.

FAITH FORMATION FOR ADULTS At Sacred Heart, each Friday at 10 am, the study group examines the scripture readings for the Sunday Mass. At St. Andrew, the study group meets via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 pm. Contact Joe Oliveti for more information. 214-718-3399

FORMACIÓN EN LA FE PARA NIÑOS en San Andrés. Se espera que todos los niños de la clase asistan a Misa cada semana antes de la lección.
